આજે વુમન્સ ડે છે. મહિલા દિવસ પર નારી શક્તિને સલામ કરીને મહિલાઓની ઉપલબ્ધિઓને સેલિબ્રેટ કરવામાં આવે છે. આજે દરેક ફિલ્ડમાં મહિલાઓએ પોતાની જગ્યા બનાવી લીધી છે. વિમાન ઉડાડવાની વાત હોય કે પછી વાત હોય રમત જગતની.. દરેક જગ્યા પર મહિલાઓ સફળતાના શિખરો સર કરી રહી છે. ત્યારે આજે વુમન્સ ડે પર એવી મહિલા વિશે વાત કરીએ કે જે છે IPS ઓફિસર. જેનું નામ છે IPS પ્રીતિ ચંદ્રા. તે પોતાની ઈમાનદારી અને હિમ્મતથી પોતાની ડ્યુટી કરે છે. અને લેડી સિંઘમના નામથી ઓળખાય છે.
આ લેડી IPS ઓફિસરને લોકો લેડી સિંઘમના નામથી ઓળખે છે. આરોપીઓ માટે માત્ર તેનું નામ જ કાફી છે. IPS પ્રીતિ ચંદ્રા 2008ની IPS ઓફિસર છે. તે મૂળ રાજસ્થાનની છે. હાલ તે બિકાનેરમાં SPની જવાબદારી સંભાળી રહી છે. આ પહેલા તે 2012થી 2013માં બુંદી SP રહી ચુકી છે. તે ડાકુઓને પકડવા માટે કમ્પ પણ લગાવી ચૂકી છે. ડાકુઓમાં તેને એટલો ભય બેસાડ્યો કે ઘણા ડાકુઓ તેની સામે આવીની સરેન્ડર કરી દેતા હતા.
IPS પ્રીતિ ચંદ્રાએ જણાવ્યું હતું હાલના સમયમાં નાની એવી માથાકુટમાં પરિવારજનો છેડતી અને રેપનો કેસ દાખલ કરી દે છે. પણ જ્યારે અમે તપાસ કરીએ છીએ તો ઘટનાની હકિકત કંઈક બીજી જ નીકળે છે. લોકો કાનૂનનો ખોટો ઉપયોગ કરે છે. આ સામાન્ય પ્રકૃતિ બની રહી છે. આજે મહિલાઓએ પણ વિચારવું જોઈએ કે જે કાનૂન મહિલાઓ માટે બન્યો છે તેનો ખોટો ઉપયોગ ન થાય.
IPS પ્રીતિ ચંદ્રા પહેલા ટીચર હતા અને IPS ઓફિસર બન્યા તે પહેલા તે એક પત્રકાર હતા. IPS બન્યા બાદ તે અલવરમાં SSP રહ્યાં હતી. બાદમાં તેને SP અને કોટા ACBમાં SP રહી ચૂક્યા છે. કરોલીની SP રહ્યાં બાદ તે હાલ બિકાનેરમાં SPની જવાબદારી સંભાળી રહી છે.
બુંદીમાં પોલીસ અધિક્ષક રહેતા IPS પ્રીતિ ચંદ્રાએ પહેલા રાજસ્થાનમાં બાળકીઓને દેહવેપારમાં ધકેલનાર લોકોનો પર્દાફાશ કર્યો હતો અને આરોપીઓને જેલની હવા ખવડાવી હતી. ઘણી સગીર છોકરીઓને આ નરકમાંથી બહાર કાઢી હતી. ઘણી જગ્યા પર પોતે જઈને દરોડા પાડતી હતી. જેને લઈને તે હંમેશા ચર્ચામાં રહે છે. તે ઘણી સાહસી અધિકારી છે.
IPS પ્રીતિ ચંદ્રાનો જન્મ સીકર જિલ્લાના કુંદનમાં 1979માં થયો હતો. તેના પિતા રામચંદ્ર સૂંડા ભારતીય સેનામાં સેવા આપી ચૂક્યા છે. પ્રીતિએ શરૂઆતમાં પત્રકાર બનીને પોતાના કરિયરની શરૂઆત કરી હતી. પણ મનમાં કંઈક મોટું કરવાનું જુનૂન સવાર હતો. જેથી તે UPSCની તૈયારીમાં લાગી ગઈ હતી. જે બાદ તેને 2008માં આ પરીક્ષા સર કરી ઈતિહાસ રચી IPS ઓફિસર બની ગઈ હતી.
