આ ખાતર તૈયાર કરનાર ગુરમીતસિંહ ઉત્તર પ્રદેશના હાપુરના રસુલપુર ગામના ખેડૂત પરિવારનો દીકરો છે. ગુરમીતસિંહ પાંચ વર્ષથી જૈવિક ખાતર સાથે શેરડીની ખેતી કરે છે. એટલું જ નહીં, આ ખાતરનો ઉપયોગ અન્ય વાવેતરની ખેતીમાં પણ કરે છે. જેના કારણે વાવેતર સારું થાય છે. આ ખાતરથી તેઓ ઘઉં, ડાંગર સહિત શાકભાજીનું ઘણું ઉત્પાદન કરી રહ્યા છે.
રાસાયણિક રહિત ખાતર અંગે ગુરમીતે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, તેને સરળતાથી તૈયાર કરી શકાય છે અને તેની સહાયથી સારી ખેતી થઈ શકે છે. ગુરમીત મુજબ 25 એકર સુધી દેસી જાતિના ગાયના છાણ અને ગૌમૂત્રમાંથી સરળતાથી વાવેતર કરી શકાય છે. એક એકરમાં 10 કિલો છાણ અને પાંચ કિલો ગૌમૂત્રની જરૂર પડે છે.
આ રીતે ખાતર બનાવવામાં આવે છે
છાણ અને ગૌમૂત્રનું મિશ્રણ બનાવ્યા પછી તેમાં ત્રણ કિલો ગોળ અને બે કિલો ગ્રામ લોટ ઉમેરવામાં આવે છે. પછી તેમાં વડાના ઝાડની નીચેની બે લિટર માટી ઉમેરવામાં આવે છે અને 200 લિટર પાણી ઉમેરવામાં આવે છે. આ ખાતર ઉનાળામાં તૈયાર થવા માટે થોડો સમય લે છે. નહીંતો તે ફક્ત 15 દિવસમાં તૈયાર થાય છે.
શિયાળામાં આ ખાતર બનાવવામાં 30થી 40 દિવસ લાગે છે. એકવાર તે તૈયાર થઈ જાય, પછી તમે તેનો ઉપયોગ સરળતાથી કરી શકો છો. તમે તેને સિંચાઈ દ્વારા પાણીના ડ્રેઇનમાં મૂકી શકો છો અને ખાતરનું મિશ્રણ ધીમે ધીમે છોડી શકાય છે. ઉપરથી પાકને જંતુથી બચાવવા માટે લીમડો અને ભાંગનો છંટકાવ કરવામાં છે.
