એક જમાનો હતો જ્યારે દુનિયાભરમાં ‘સુલ્તાન રાજ’ કે ‘રાજશાહી’ રાજ ચાલતું હતું, પરંતુ હવે આ ભારત સહિત વિશ્વના અન્ય ભાગમાં લગભગ ખતમ થઈ ગયું છે. જોકે ગણ્યા ગાઠ્યા અમુક એવા દેશો છે જ્યાં રાજાનું શાસન આજે પણ ચાલે છે. બ્રુનેઈ પણ એક એવો ત્યાં સુલ્તાનનું રાજ ચાલે છે. આ દેશના સુલ્તાનનું નામ હસનલ બોલકિયા છે.
બ્રુનેઈ નામનો આ દેશ ઈન્ડોનિશિયાના નજીક આવેલો છે. બ્રુનેઈના સુલ્તાન હસનલ બોલકિયા અત્યંત ધનવાન છે. તેની ગણના દુનિયાના સૌથી અમીર સુલ્તાનોમાં પણ થાય છે. તે વર્ષ 1980 સુધી દુનિયાનો સૌથી ધનવાન વ્યક્ત હતી. તેની કુલ સંપત્તિ 14,7000 કરોડથી પણ વધારે છે. આટલા બધાં પૈસા તેલનો ભંડાર અને કુદરતી ગેસની નિકાસથી આવે છે.
સુલ્તાન હસનલ બોલકિયાનો મહેલ પણ મોટો આલીશાન છે. કહેવાય છે આ મહેલમાં સોનાની ઘણી વસ્તુ જોડાયેલી છે. તેણે આ મહેલ 984માં બનાવ્યો હતો. આ મહેલનું નામ ‘ઈસ્તાન નુરૂલ ઈમાન પેલેસ’ રાખ્યું છે.
આ મહેલ 20 લાખ વર્ગ ફૂટના વિસ્તારમાં બનેલો છે. આ મહેલની સુવર્ણ ગુંજબ સૌથી વધારે આકર્ષિત કરે છે. આ 22 કેરેટ સોનુંથી બનેલું છે. હસનલ બોલકિયાના પોતાનો મહેલ ‘ઈસ્તાન નુરૂલ ઈમાન પેલેસ’ને બનાવવામાં લગભગ 2550 કરોડ રૂપિયાનો ખર્ચ લાગ્યો છે. આ મહેલના અંદર તમને 1700થી વધું રૂમ, 257 બાથરૂમ અને પાંચ સ્વિમિંગ પુલ પૂલ જોવા મળશે.
મહેલના અંદર 110 ગેરેજ પણ બનેવાલું છે. તેમાં સુલ્તાન પોતાની 7000 લગ્ઝરી કાર મુકે છે. તેમજ આલીશાન મહેલમાં એક મોટું તબેલો પણ છે જેમાં લગભગ 200 ઘોડા રહે છે. સુલ્તાન હસનલ બોલકિયાને લગ્ઝરી કારનો ઘણો શોખ છે. તેની પાસે હાજર 7000 લગ્ઝરી કારોની કિંમત લગભગ 341 અરબ રૂપિયા છે. સુલ્તાનએ પોતાના કાર સંગ્રહમાં 600 રોલ્સ રોયસ અને 300 ફેરારી ગાડીઓ પણ રાખી છે.
લગ્ઝરી ગાડીઓ ઉપરાંત સુલ્તાન પાસે ઘણાં પ્રાઈવેટ જેટ પણ છે. તેમાં બોઈંગ 747-400, બોઈંગ 767-200 અને એરબસ એ 340-200 જેટ સામેલ છે. તે આમાં જ બેસીને મુસાફરી કરે છે.
કહેવામાં આવે છે કે 747-400 જેટમાં તો શુદ્ધ સોનું પણ લગાવવામાં આવ્યું છે.આ તમામ જેટોમાં લિવિંગ રૂમ, બેડરૂમ સહિત ઘણી લગ્ઝરી સુવિધાઓ છે.
આમ જોઈએ તો સુલ્તાનનું જીવન એક અસલી રાજા જેવું જ છે. તે પોતાના જીવનનો ઘણો આનંદ માણે છે. જેમ તમે તસવીરોમાં જોઈ શકો છો કે સુલ્તાનની લાઈફ કેટલી આલીશાન છે.
