વર્ષ 2020માં કોરોનાથી લોકો ત્રાહિમામ પોકરી ગયાં છે. આ મહામારી કારણે વિશ્વભરમાં કરોડો લોકો સંક્રિમત થઈ ગયાં, તેમજ લાખોના મૃત્યું થયા. ત્યારબાદ અચાનક ભારતમાં બર્ડ ફ્લૂ ફેલાયો. હાલમાં આ સંક્રમણ ખતમ નહતું થયું ત્યાં અચાનક ગાય-ભેંસના વચ્ચે જ એક અજીબગરીબ બીમારી ફેલાઈ છે. તેને લમ્પી સ્કિન ડિઝીઝ કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે. તેમાં પશુના શરીર પર વિચિત્ર પ્રકારની ગાંઠ પડી જાય છે. સાથે જ દુજાણુ મૂંગુ પશુ દૂધ પણ ઓછી કરી દે છે. સૌથી નિરાશાજનક વાતએ છે કે આ બીમારીની અત્યારસુધી કોઈ સારવાર નથી મળી. આવો જાણીએ કેમ જાનવરોને અસરગ્રસ્ત કરે છે આ વિચિત્ર બીમારી…
ભારતમાં એક પછી એક અનેક પ્રકારની અજીબગરીબો બીમારી ફેલાય રહી છે. પહેલા દેશમાં કોરોનાનો આતંક ફેલાયો હતો. આ પ્રકોપથી બચવા માટે હવે લોકોને રસી મળી રહી છે. ત્યારબાદ બર્ડ ફ્લૂ પક્ષીમાં ફેલાય રહેલા ભંયકર રોગ ઓછો પણ ન થયો ત્યાં ગાય અને ભેંસમાં એક વિચિત્ર બીમારી ફેલાય ગઈ છે.
આ બીમારીને લમ્પી ડિઝીઝ નામ આપવામાં આવ્યું છે. તેમાં પ્રાણીના શરીર પર મોટી મોટી ગાંઠ ઈજા થઈ જાય છે. શરીર પર ગાંઠનો ઘાવ મટી જ નથી રહ્યો. સૌથી મુશ્કેલ કરનારી વાત એ છે કે આ બીમારીનો કોઈ ઈલાજ નથી મળ્યો.
લમ્પી ડિઝીઝની ઝપેટમાં સૌથી વધું દુજાણા જાનવર આવે છે. ત્યારબાદ આ જાણવરોની દૂધની ક્ષમતા ઓછી થઈ જાય છે. જોતા જોતમાં જ જાનવરનું આખું શરીર તેની ઝપેટમાં આવી જાય છે અને પછી તેનુ મોત થઈ જાય છે.
ભારતમાં આ બીમારીનો પહેલો મામલો 2019માં આવ્યો હતો. સંશોધન મુજબ, આ વાયરસની અત્યારસુધી કોઈ સારવાર નથી. ફક્ત લક્ષણના હિસાબે પશુઓને તેની દવા આપવામાં આવી રહી છે.
લમ્પી ડિઝીઝમાં જાનવરોના શરીરમાં ગાંઠ બની જાય છે. તે મોટી થવા લાગે છે અને તેના બાદ આ ઘાવમાં બદલી જાય છે. તીવ્ર તાવ જાનવરોને તેમની ઝપેટમાં લઈ લે છે. જો પશુ ગર્ભવતીમાં છે તેના ગર્ભપાતના શંકા વધી જાય છે.
પશુઓમાં આ બીમારી એકથી બીજામાં ફલાવવા લાગે છે. ન ફક્ત એક જગ્યાથી પાણી પીવાથી પરંતુ લાળ અને ચારો સાથે ખાવાથી પણ આ વાયરસ એક ગાયથી બીજામાં ફેલાય છે. એક મચ્છર અને માંખી કરડવાથી પણ આ વાયરસ ફેલાય છે.
લમ્પી ડિઝીઝના ઈતિહાસની વાત કરીએ તો 1929માં સૌથી પહેલા આ આફ્રિકામાં જોવા મળ્યો હતો. ત્યાં ઘણાં પશુને પોતાનો શિકાર બનાવ્યા બાદ તેણે ગ્રીસ અને રશિયનમાં પણ તબાહી મચાવી હતી. બાદમાં તેણે બાંગ્લાદેશ અને ઘણાં એશિયાના દેશોમાં પણ પશુઓના જીવ લઈ લીધી હતાં.
હવે ભારતમાં ઝડપથી ફેલાય રહેલા આ લમ્પી ડિઝીઝથી ખેડૂતો ત્રાસી ગયાં છે. દૂધનો વ્યવસાય કરી રહેલા ખેડૂતોને આથી ભારી નુકસાન થઈ રહ્યું છે. તમિલનાડુ ઉપરાંત કેરળ, છત્તીસગઢ, આસામ, મધ્યપ્રદેશ, ઓડિશા, ઝારખંડ સહિત ઘણાં રાજ્યોમાં આ વાયરસ ઝડપથી ફેલાય રહ્યો છે.
