હિન્દુ ધર્મમાં ગાયને પૂજનીય માનવામા આવે છે. ગાયની પૂજા કરવાથી પાપો નષ્ટ થાય છે. ગાયને માતા પણ કહેવામાં આવે છે. પૌરાણિક કથાઓ અનુસાર, જ્યારે સમુદ્ર મંથન થયું હતું. ત્યારે આ દરમિયાન નીકળેલા 14 રત્નોમાંથી એક રત્ન કામધેનું ગાય હતી. આ માટે ગાયને પવિત્ર સ્થાન હિન્દુ ધર્મમાં આપવામાં આવ્યું છે. માન્યતા છે કે ગાયના અંદર કરોડો દેવી-દેવાતા વાસ કરે છે. આ માટે ગાયની પૂજા કરવાથી ભગવાન પ્રસન્ન થાય છે અને તમામ દેવી-દેવતાઓના આશીર્વાદ પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે.
–રામાયણ, મહાભારત, ભગવદ્ ગીતામાં ગાયનો ઉલ્લેખ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે. ભગવાન કૃષ્ણને ગાય ખૂબ પ્રિય હતી અને તેઓ રોજ તેમની સેવા કરતા હતાં. ગ્રંથોમાં ગૌમાતાને પૃથ્વીનું પ્રતીક પણ માનવામાં આવે છે.
ગાયની પૂજાનું મહત્વ
–પૂર્વ-દક્ષિણ દિશામાં જમીન પર ગાયનું પ્રતીક લગાવવું શુભ ગણાય છે. આમ કરવાથી દુ:ખ, મનની પરેશાની તેમજ ચિંતા દૂર થાય છે અને સકારાત્મક ઉર્જા વધે છે.
–વાસ્ત્રુશાસ્ત્ર અનુસાર, ગાયની સેવા કરવી ઉત્તમ ફળ આપે છે. જે લોકો ઘરમાં ગાય રાખે છે અને ગાયની સેવા કરે છે, તેમના પરિવારમાં સુખ-સૌભાગ્ય બની રહે છે.
–વાછરડાને દૂધ પીવળાવી રહેલી ગાયનો ફોટો જો ઘરમાં લગાવવામાં આવે તો સંતાન પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે. આ માટે જે લોકો સંતાનના સુખથી અત્યાસુધી વંચિત છે, તો પોતાના ઘરમાં ગાયનો ફોટો અવશ્ય લગીવો અને તેમને રોજ જુઓ.
–વિદ્યાર્થી જો રૂમમાં ગાયની તસવીર લગાવે છે તો તેની એકગ્રતા વધે છે અને તેનું ધ્યાન ભણતરમાં વધું લાગે છે. ફળસ્વરૂપે તેને ઈચ્છિત ક્રમ મળે છે.
–જ્યોતિશ શાસ્ત્રમાં ગાયનું મહત્વ જણાવતા કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે કે સૂર્ય, ચંદ્રમા, મંગળ, બુધ, ગુરૂ, શુક્ર, શનિ, રાહુ, કેતુ સાથોસાથ વરૂણ, વાયુ આધિ દેવાતોઓને યજ્ઞમાં આપેવામાં આવેલા દરેક બલિદાન ગાયના ઘીથી આપવા જોઈએ. આમ કરવાથી જ પૂજા પૂર્ણ થાય છે. આ પ્રકારથી પૂજા દરમિયાન હંમેશા ગાયનું જ ઘીનો પ્રયોગ કરવો જોઈએ.
–ગાયને દાન કરવાથી તમામ મનોકામના પૂર્ણ થાય છે. આ જ પ્રકાર ગ્રહ ભારી હોવા પર રોજ ગાયને રોટલી અને ગોળ ખવડાવો શુભ ફળ આપે છે.
–જ્યોતિષ અને ધર્મ શાસ્ત્રો અનુસાર, સંધ્યા કાળમાં જ્યારે ગાય જંગલથી ઘાસ ખાઈને આવે છે, ત્યારે ગાયની ખરાથી ઉડનારી ધૂળ પાપોનો નાશ કરે છે.
–મંગળ ગ્રહ ભારી હોવા પર ગાયની પૂજા અને સેવા કરો. લાલ રંગની ગાયની સેવા તેમજ ગરીબ બ્રાહ્મને ગૌ દાન કરવાથી મંગળનો પ્રભાવ ઘટવા લાગે છે.
–શનિની દશા, અંતદર્શા અને સાડાસાતીથી છુટકારો મેળવવા માટે કાળી ગાયને દાન કરવું ઉત્તમ ફળ આપે છે.
–બુધ ગ્રહનું શુભ ફળ માટે ગાયને લીલો ચારો ખવડાવો. પિતૃદોષ હોવા પર ગાયને નિયમિત અથના અમાસના દિવસ ચણા ખવડાવો.
–આર્થિક સ્થિતિ ખરાબ હોવા પર ગાયની સેવા પૂજા કરો. આમ કરવાથી માતા લક્ષ્મી શીઘ્ર પ્રકટ થાય છે અને ધનથી જોડાયેલી સમસ્યા ખતમ થશે.
